If you only used only NetOctopus' remote software installation, it would pay for itself in no time.
  • Instruct Windows workstations to execute installer scripts that reside either on that machines hard drive or on a server.
  • Drag and drop installs, from your machine into the directory structure of your client's local volume
  • Install or update single files or folders.
  • Use Native Installers.
  • Build your own installer with File Scripter, an easy to use drag and drop utility for Macintosh installations.

But there's more to software distribution than removing shrink-wrap. Consider all the questions you must answer
before you can successfully distribute software. Who has which version of the software? Does each system have
enough memory and disk space? Will the software function equally well on Windows 95/98/NT?
How many 68k or PPC processors are there, and where? Who's running which OS, with which problematic extensions?

NetOctopus integrates the discovery features within its asset management capabilities, to help you install or
upgrade software across the network from your workstation.
